Mother is multifaceted, and a number of those sides are sharp.
I rise. The Body is screaming, and so I listen. Today I am Mother.
The screams I hear are ragged and hoarse, they arrive from a phantom throat who has screamed an infinite scream. As Mother I cherish The Body. I look upon The Body with such diligent concern that it is not like I am looking upon The starved, howling, disfigured Body I have quietly tortured for my own pleasure. Today I kiss The Body, nurse the wounds of The Body, I vow to nourish The Body.
Today marzipane is medicine, The Body is (hell)mouth, and there is not a vow I have yet been able to keep.
